Internet services were Thursday restored in the summer capital, a day after being snapped as a precautionary measure in the wake of a gunfight in the city that left three militants and a policeman dead.
Internet services on mobile devices at 2G speed were restored this afternoon as the situation in the city remained peaceful, an official said.
He said a decision on restoring 4G Internet speed will be taken later in the day.
Internet services were snapped Wednesday to prevent trouble mongers from assembling crowd at the encounter site in Fateh Kadal area of the city where three militants including a top commander of Lashkar-e-Toiba were killed.
A policeman also laid down his life during the operation.
