"There have been four terror incidents in Kashmir today. This is the frustration and despair of Pakistan sponsored terrorism... We condemn these incidents," Union Telecom Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said.
Noting that the people of Kashmir have rebuffed boycott calls given by Pakistan-sponsored elements and come out in large numbers to vote in the ongoing Assembly elections, he said, "The people of Kashmir have given the bullet a befitting reply through the ballot.
The day saw a wave of terror strikes carried out in Uri, Srinagar, Tral and Shopian which have left 11 security personnel dead. A top LeT commander and seven militants were also killed in the attacks that left two civilians dead.
The strikes came three days after a 72 per cent turnout was registered in the second phase of Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday in a rerun of record polling in the first phase.
The attack at Tral in Pulwama district come days ahead of voting there in the third phase of Assembly elections on December 9.
"It is unfortunate. The guilty will be punished. Action is being initiated and (Chhattisgarh) Chief Minister Raman Singh has taken the issue seriously," he said.
Prasad also took a dig at Congress leader Digvijay Singh reportedly seeking the support of Maoists in Jharkhand to defeat BJP in Assembly polls and said, "What has Rahul Gandhi to say on this.
