The Jammu and Kashmir government today said it would fill up about 80,000 vacant posts through fast tract recruitment in the coming two years
Minister for Finance and Ladakh Affairs Abdul Rahim Rather informed the House that the 80,000 vacant posts would be filled up through fast tract recruitment and a special consultant has been engaged to assist Service Selection Recruitment Board in the recruitment process.
However, JKNPP member Harsh Dev Singh, Balwant Singh Mankotia and Ashwani Kumar of JSM created uproar and held protest over the new recruitment policy with half the salary without any pension.
They demanded a reply from the government over it.
The Finance Minister said that fundamental objective of new recruitment policy is to reduce exponential growth of Non-Plan expenditure which is effective for the posts advertised after November 1, 2011.
A Standing Committee has been constituted to examine the modalities for the proposed future recruitments against Class IV, III and other Non-Gazetted posts in an a fixed salary mode in order to reduce the exponential growth of salaries and connected Non-Plan expenditure, he said.
The Minister said the recommendations of the Standing Committee for adoption of the New Recruitment Policy were accepted and accordingly government order was issued.
