The numbers will be in addition to the 1,000 tents and 2,000 blankets sent by Red Cross Society of India, Minister of State for Industries and Commerce and Home, Sajjad Ahmad Kichloo, said here while thanking the Centre.
Kichloo on the instructions of Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, is stationed at Kishtwar for the last three days to oversee the rescue and relief operations.
There has been extensive damage to thousands of residential houses and government infrastructure in Kishtwar district due to earthquake that struck erstwhile Doda district on May 1.
Nearly Rs 5 crore is urgently required under National Calamity Relief Fund and State Disaster Relief Fund for compensating loss suffered to private property, while another Rs 1.50 crore is required for restoring damage suffered by government infrastructure due to the tremor.
