The cannabis processing unit concealed in a cow-shed was busted and a large quantity of Charas and other contrabands were seized, a police spokesman said.
Acting on a tip off, a police party raided the cowshed of Mohammad Hussain Ganie, resident of Poshkreeri area of the district.
During the search, police recovered a Charas processing unit where poppy and cannabis powder was being produced.
The equipment, including a straw grinder, motor and one weight measure were seized from the cowshed, the spokesman said.
The accused, however, gave slip to the police, the spokesman said, adding a case has been registered against Ganie under NDPS act and a manhunt has been launched to nab him.
