J'khand Guv urges people to fulfil Ambedkar's dream

Jharkhand Governor Droupadi Murmu today paid rich tributes to B R Ambedkar on his 125th birth anniversary and called upon the people to fulfil his dream of social equality.
Addressing a function to mark the day here, Murmu said Ambedkar established his special identity in the country through hard work and qualification.
A thinker, 'karmayogi', expert in sociology, political science, economics and law, Ambedkar had called upon the people to become literate, organised and struggle (for their rights), she said.
Recalling his contribution in the making of the Constitution and having knowledge in almost all constitutions and laws of the world, the Governor recalled that Ambedkar had fought all his life against discrimination and untouchability.

Ambedkar, she added, said as all human beings were the same, they had the right to demand good behaviour.
The Governor called upon all to make efforts towards every person living equally, fulfilling Ambedkar's thoughts.
Giving credit to Ambedkar's life-long struggle for social independence, equality and justice that enabled Dalit people getting a dignified position, Murmu said development and progress could be taken forward by following his views, thus fulfilling his dreams of social equality.
