Vice Chancellor Talat Ahmad was speaking at the inaugural function of a presentation by United States-India Educational Foundation (USIEF) in the university campus.
On Multi-disciplinary Centre for Advance Research and Studies (MCARS), the Vice Chancellor said such efforts will "raise the standard of research in the university and boost its ranking."
"It was a step in that direction as highly trained Indian researchers abroad can join it to undertake cutting-edge research.
Diya Dutt, Deputy Director and Pratibha Nair, Program Coordinator, USIEF, made presentations on 'Fulbright-Nehru and other Fellowship Opportunities' that allow Indian researchers to spend time studying and researching at a university in the US on a subject of their interest.
