IE Kamei, a native of Bunkyo-KU in Japan, was robbed off his bag containing 10,000 Japanese Yen, 15,000 in Indian currency, a sleeping bag, an electronic dictionary and other belongings, by an unidentified miscreant at Sawai Man Singh Hospital (SMS) on October 10, police said today.
The tourist had gone to the hospital to meet a friend who had suffered a limb fracture, an official at the Motidungari Police Station said.
A complaint was lodged by the foreigner with a police post at the SMS hospital yesterday, the official said, adding, investigation is on in the matter.
