Jaya announces Rs 3 lakh compensation to bereaved families

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa today announced a compensation of Rs three lakh to the next of kin of four persons who were electrocuted during a temple car procession in Vellore recently.
The temple car accidentally came in contact with a live wire,killing them on the spot, an official release said.
Extending her condolences to the bereaved families, Jayalalithaa said a compensation of Rs three lakh would be paid to each of them from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund.
In another statement, she announced compensation of Rs three lakh each to the families of ten police personnel who died recently.
