Former "Baywatch" star Jeremy Jackson was taken into custody for allegedly stabbing a man during verbal argument.
The actor was arrested on early Saturday, April 25, on a felony charge but released in afternoon after paying USD 30,000 bail, reported Aceshowbiz.
Jackson, 34, apparently rented a property to hold a party with some female friends in West Lake, LA on Friday, April 24.
He, then, was reportedly hit and robbed of USD 2,300 by one of the partygoers.
It is said that Jackson asked the victim, who was a gang member with a clown tattoo on his face, to help him get the money back but the man pulled a gun on him instead, forcing Jackson to stab the man in self defence.
Following the incident, Jackson left the site and police were unable to find him.
The victim suffered a stab injury to his left upper torso and was rushed to Los Angeles County-USC Medical Centre.
"The victim told officers, 'Hobie stabbed me,' " Los Angeles police detective Joe Rios said. "The victim did tell officers his assailant was a former 'Baywatch' actor. He was able to identify him."
On the following day, police found Jackson when they were called to the same area where the alleged attack took place regarding another alleged burglar.
Jackson's lawyer Harland Braun claimed that his client was "innocent" because the action was carried out to get his life and career back on track after the victim threatened to shoot him.
"He says someone pulled a gun on him and he defended himself with a knife," the lawyer said.
