Mukherjee, who visited a number of states after becoming President, has not gone to Jharkhand so far. He, had, however gone to the state capital Ranchi during the run-up to the President poll.
While BJP had supported P A Sangma in the Presidential elections, its allies in Jharkhand JMM and JD-U had backed Mukherjee's candidature.
