Das also asked to initiate departmental inquiry against Prasad, the release said.
Prasad is facing charges of misusing his official position when he was the Hazaribagh transport officer and having colluded with some employees to charge more than the official fee for issuance of driving licenses, smartcards, registration of vehicles and vehicular tax, the release added.
Prasad was taken into judicial custody on March 21 this year in connection with the case and was later granted bail.
