As a special court ordered framing of charges against its head Naveen Jindal in coal block allocation case, Jindal Steel and Power today denied any wrongdoing saying coal blocks were allocated to it purely on merit.
"We deny all allegations made against our company and its management. We have full faith in the Indian Judicial System and are confident to come out clean during the process," JSPL said in a statement.
A special court today ordered framing of charges against industrialist Naveen Jindal, former Minister of State for Coal Dasari Narayan Rao and 13 others for criminal conspiracy, cheating and other offences in a coal block allocation scam case.
"JSPL reiterates that it is confident that it will stand vindicated at the end of the ongoing judicial process," the company said, adding it had fully cooperated with investigating authorities by providing them all the supporting documents.
"The said allocation was made to the company purely on merits and all along the course of the investigation the company and its officials have fully cooperated with the authorities, and whenever asked, explained and provided all the supporting documents," it said.
JSPL said it has created world class steel manufacturing and power generation infrastructure in Chattisgarh, Odisha and Jharkhand.
"The company has created over 50,000 jobs and anchors an employment eco-system for 100,000 families. JSPL is proud of its achievements and will play a pivotal role in building the nation of our dreams," the statement added.
