Jio Chat principal sponsor of Jr Bachchan's Kabaddi team

RIL's internet calling and messaging application Jio Chat will be principal sponsor of Abhishek Bachchan's kabaddi team Jaipur Pink Panthers for the Star Sports Pro Kabaddi League 2015.
Jio Chat "has been signed up by Jaipur Pink Panthers, the defending champions of the Star Sports Pro Kabaddi League as the principal sponsor (front jersey) for the Star Sports Pro Kabaddi League 2015," Reliance Industries said in a statement.
This is first marketing campaign of Jio Chat application, which not only get to chat with near ones but also have video and audio conferencing with them. One can also chat in groups, enjoy the rich text features like stickers, emoticons, doodles, media share, location share and more.

The company claims to have over a million active users.
Bachchan, the team's franchisee, unveiled the new look jersey in Mumbai before the inaugural match of the league.
Panthers won the tournament last year.

"The teams are allowed a total of seven brand placements on the players' uniform (front of jersey, back of the jersey, three on jersey sleeves and two on the shorts) and the other sponsors can partner for various paraphernalia like kit, apparel and beverage," it said.
As part of the partnership Jio Chat will be able to get direct visibility among audiences across all the nine cities where the matches will be played, it added.

Reliance Jio Chat, the new instant messaging app from Reliance Jio's digital services business was recently introduced and is available for Android and iOS devices.
The app will also offer an offline chat option, which can be used to store typed messages after which they can be sent once the user comes online.
