Amid Congress's indications to disrupt Parliament on the issue of corruption, BJD today said it would like the Parliament to function in the Monsoon Session, beginning next week.

"We don't want to join the chorus of Congress to disrupt. We would like the House to function so that we can express our viewpoint inside," party's Lok Sabha leader Bhartuhari Mahtab told PTI.

He did not give a direct response to queries regarding the demand being made by a section of Opposition parties, including Congress, for resignation of Union Ministers Sushma Swaraj and Smriti Irani as well as Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and her Madhya Pradesh counterpart Shivraj Singh Chauhan.

"Our stated position is that we will take an appropriate decision at an appropriate time," he said.

He, however, described the Vyapam scam in Madhya Pradesh as "very tragic and criminal".

Mahtab questioned the Centre's intentions on the Posco project and said he would raise the issue in Parliament.

"It is the highest FDI investment. When you are talking of 'Make in India', here is a case that (a company) is thinking of going out of the country. The company's (Posco) chairman has said that only after Prime Minister Narendra Modi intervenes that they will consider," he said.

He further said: "We want to understand what the Centre's intention is and they should come out with the facts. They cannot hide behind a policy on auctioning of mines. It they want to 'Make in India' through the FDI route then they will have to walk the extra mile".
