"The situation in erstwhile Doda district is highly alarming because of earthquake and aftershocks going on since May 1 and due to criminal negligence of the state government to provide adequate and immediate relief to thousands of families living in most insecure conditions," JKNPP president, Balwant Singh Mankotia, said in a statement here.
"Central government should immediately send relief teams to save human lives from the wrath of nature," he said adding that the entire administration has collapsed and life has come to stand still in the area.
Mankotia alleged that the government has failed to keep its promise and said, so far only 300 tents have been sent to the affected people in Doda, against their commitment of 10,000 tents.
"Government has not made any arrangements of food, drinking water, medicines, schools...There is panic everywhere," he added.
