JKSRTC orders inquiry into Amarnath accident

The Jammu and Kashmir State Road Transport Corporation (JKSRTC) today ordered an in-house inquiry into the road accident that claimed the lives of 16 Amarnath pilgrims, who were travelling in a vehicle owned by the corporation.
"An in-house inquiry committee has been constituted to look into the circumstances that led to this tragic accident involving an SRTC bus carrying the Amarnath yatris," its Managing Director Mir Afroz Ahmad said here.
He said the committee has been asked to submit its report within two days.
