Jogi may be included in Cong campaign committee for C'garh

Congress leader Ajit Jogi, who is learnt to be unhappy over recent changes in the party unit in Chhattisgarh, is likely to be included in the campign committee of Congress for Chhattisgarh assembly polls.
While sources close to Jogi had maintained that he was not consulted about the changes being brought in the party unit, an AICC leader maintained he was consulted on some of the issues.
Sources also said Jogi's inclusion is likely in the party's camapign committee which is yet to be announced for Chhattisgarh where fresh assembly polls are due later this year.
Jogi had met Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Vice President Rahul Gandhi here yesterday when they had discussed the "current political situation" in the state, according to the former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister.

He had earlier also met Rahul separately on Monday two days after Congress recently re-constituted the PCC, elevating the party unit chief Union minister Charan Das Mahant with whom Jogi does not share the best of relations.
Jogi himself was made a member in the Pradesh Election and Coordination committees and his wife Renu has been included in the list of 15 vice presidents.

However, his son Amit failed to secure a place in any of the committees set up on Saturday. He was eyeing the post of general secretary, according to sources.
Asked whether he discussed his grievance about being "ignored" in reconstitution of the party in the state, Jogi had said yesterday that "I cannot tell you what was discussed between me and my leadership."

A few days ago, Jogi had said while other PCC chiefs met him after taking the charge, Mahant did not.
There is no clarity on whether Jogi could be made the Chairman of the election campaign committee of the party.
Jogi was the Congress Campaign Committee chief for the state in last assembly elections.
