A boy, wanted in theft cases, was today allegedly found chained to the window of a police station in Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh.
After local news channels aired visuals of the boy chained inside the Vetapalem police station, district superintendent of police Ch Srikant ordered an inquiry.
"The matter has come to my notice. I have ordered inquiry and disciplinary action will be initiated," the SP told PTI over phone.
The boy, aged between 14-15 years, was involved in cases of theft and chain-snatching and had escaped from a juvenile home earlier, according to police. He was caught by the Vetapalem police today.
