Kaanchan Azad, Deputy Director (public relations) of Delhi government has been awarded Best Public Relations Officer of the city by the Media Federation of India, an official statement said on Sunday.
Azad is presently working as the Public Relations Officer (PRO) in Delhi Legislative Assembly, it said.
He had earlier served as press secretary to former Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit.
"Azad, Deputy Director (PR), Govt of NCT of Delhi, has been awarded Best Public Relations Officer (PRO) at a function of Oscar of Media 14th Media Excellence Awards 2020, organised by Media Federation of India," the statement said.
The event was held on Saturday, it added.
The Media Federation of India is formed by the joint efforts of media persons and other famous personalities, to promote and honour media personalities of the country, says the organisation's official Facebook page.
