The camp will be held on the school premises on October 1. School Principal Col Sudhanshu Arya said here today that more than 1,500 students of Classes X, XI, XII are expected to participate in the one-day camp.
He said that series of events have been planned to make the event informative like showing a short movie on the training and infrastructure of National Defence Academy at Khadakwasla and Sainik school Kapurthala will be screened in the school auditorium.
Besides, there will be an impressive display of weapons like various small types of arms, rocket launchers and armoury used by the infantry units.
Sainik school Kapurthala is a pioneer institution in the chain of 25 sainik schools being run by Ministry of Defence in the country and has a rare distinction of producing more than 800 defence officers risen to the senior ranks in the Armed Forces, he said.
