As many as 17 people, including 10 women, were killed in the blaze at a firecracker factory in Bawana Industrial area.
"The chief minister distributed compensation cheques of Rs 5 lakh each to families of 17 people who died in the incident," an official said, adding he also assured them of all possible help from the government.
The AAP government has blamed the BJP-run civic body for the incident.
In its preliminary report, the Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (DSIIDC) said that it does not have any regulatory functions nor is mandated to issue any type of license or permission for factory construction.
