Dikshit, 74, was taken to Fortis Escort Heart Institute this morning after she complained of fatigue.
"Arvind Kejriwal and his supporters kept on insisting meeting the Chief Minister and continued shouting slogans for around two hours despite police officials telling them that Dikshit was not at the residence," officials said.
Over 100 people had gathered outside Dikshit's 3-Motilal Nehru Marg residence in the morning to protest demolition of their houses in Okhla area.
Dikshit had underwent an angioplasty procedure on November 27 as blockage was found in one of her arteries.
The Chief Minister, who rejoined office on Monday, had left for Gujarat next day to release Congress' election manifesto for the Assembly polls in the state.
The officials said Kejriwal levelled "baseless allegations" against Dikshit and refused to meet senior officials of her administration despite being told that the Chief Minister had gone to the hospital.
