The party state committee, which made a close review of the poll outcome in four seats including Kollam where polit bureau member M A Baby lost to RSP's N K Premachandran, was of the view that the lapses on the party as well as its class and mass affiliates, had also been factor for the defeat where the LDF had expected victory.
Briefing reporters on the deliberations of the two-day meet which concluded today, CPI(M) state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan said what exactly went wrong organisationally would be discussed in the party and corrective measures taken.
Accusing the RSS and BJP of trying to communalise every issue to gain political mileage, Vijayan said this was a dangerous trend which went against the social and political ethos of Kerala.
On the immediate campaigns to be launched by the party, Vijayan said it would give initiative to a "people's movement" for "Clean Kerala."
"We are for decentralised strategy with the participation of people to address this serious issue. Though the party will be taking initiative for the campaign, it will not be a party-alone programme but would be carried out with the participation of all sections of the society," he said.
