A special investigation team has been formed to trace a 20-year old woman, who had gone missing under mysterious circumstances from her home in Pathanamthitta district in March.
DGP Loknath Behera designated Range IG, Manoj Abraham to lead the 15-member SIT, a statement said here.
The state police also announced a reward of Rs five lakh for those providing information about the missing woman, Jasna Mariya James, a second year graduation student.
Though the police had earlier announced Rs two lakh reward, no information had been received so far.
There were rumours that Jasna was spotted in Bengaluru recently.
Though a police team rushed to the place, they could not trace the woman or ensure veracity of the information.
According to her family, Jasna, who was on her study leave, had gone missing from her home at Vehoochira in Pathanamthitta on March 21.
