Lokayukta court today granted anticipatory bail to Karnataka Milk Federation Chairman G Somashekara Reddy and five others in a private complaint alleging corruption against them.
Judge N K Sudhindra Rao granted relief to the accused on a personal bond of Rs 5 lakh and surety of the like sum each and directed them not to tamper with evidence and cooperate with the investigation.
The others who got relief are: Venkatraman (former KMF Managing Director), Narasimha Reddy, (Director, Finance, KMF), Ramesh Kunoor (Additional Director KMF), D N Hegde (Additional Director, KMF) and Bernad (Director, Animal Husbandry Department).
On December 15, the court admitted the complaint and ordered Lokayukta police to conduct a probe into the alleged irregularities that had taken place in KMF.
