Workforce management firm Kronos today said it will increase its headcount in research and development in India by over 25 per cent to more than 1,000 employees in the next 2-3 years.
The company is also setting up a customer experience centre in Noida with an investment of USD 1,50,000 (about Rs 1 crore) as part of its expansion plans in India.
"Kronos has strengthened its foothold in India... It is increasing its R&D headcount in India by more than 25 per cent to more than 1,000 employees," Kronos said in a statement.
Currently, Kronos employs about 700 people in India.
Besides, the company is launching a customer experience centre in Noida to enable customers and prospective clients to experience Kronos products.
"The centre is being set up at a cost of USD 1,50,000, the first outside the US and will be launched in the second half of 2016," it said.
The centre will also drive engagement between customers and engineering teams enabling Kronos to tailor offerings in line with market expectations in the region, it added.
The company will also support Hindi language on its product that will help attract customers in North and West India.
Customers in these markets have shown keen interest in a local language version to better engage with their blue-collar and contract workforce, Kronos said, adding that Indian businesses will now be able to leverage its product to create a transparent and agile workforce.
Kronos solutions are enabling organisations like FirstSource Solutions, Mahindra, SAB Miller and UltraTech to manage their on-roll and contract employees.
Its customers include players from industries like retail, manufacturing, hospitality, services and distribution.
"We are scaling our operations in India and localising our product to make it more relevant to this diverse country. We are committed to seeing our customers succeed with Kronos while improving the lives of millions of blue collar and contract workers in India," Kronos Chief Executive Officer Aron Ain said.
