Lawyers in Dwarka court to resume work from tomorrow

The Dwarka Court Bar Association (DCBA) which was on strike for two weeks over city government's decision to shift six police stations from its jurisdiction today suspended their ongoing protest after Delhi High Court assured them of "sympathetic consideration".
The lawyers body said that the strike by Dwarka Court advocates, which was lauched on March 1, stands suspended as a result of intervention by the High Court.
"The executive committee members of the DCBA yesterday met the Chief Justice and other Senior Judges of the Delhi High Court, who are on the administrative committee. The Judges assured that the just and logical demand of the DCBA will be sympathetically considered," Dwarka Bar Association Secretary P S Singh said.
The lawyers body were on strike after the jurisdiction of Sagarpur, Delhi Cantonment, IGI Airport, Mahipalpur, Uttamnagar, Janakpuri and Harinagar police stations which were close to Dwarka courts complex have been shifted to Patiala House courts complex.
The DCBA in its press release said, "In the General Body Meeting called by the executive committee of the DCBA on March 14 to take stock of the situation and decide future course of action, it was unanimously decided by the Members to suspend the Strike. Normal working of court will thus start from March 15".
