The lawyers said that they along with litigants have to face difficulties due to shifting of two family courts outside the Karkardooma court premises as the work is interconnected.
Advocate Mahesh Kumar Sharma, president of Shahdara Bar Association, said they are demanding shifting back of the family courts from the new building in Vishwas Nagar in East Delhi to Karkardooma district courts complex.
"Old and sick people have to bear so many difficulties at Vishwas Nagar and there are no civic amenities," he said.
Lawyers said that there was enough vacant space in the Karkardooma complex as several rooms were unoccupied and family courts can be set up there and there was no need for moving family courts to any other premises.
