Spirit has claimed that the opening notes in the Zeppelin track are extremely similar to their 1968 song 'Taurus' and want to block the re-release of the song on the band's remastered versions of their original albums, reported E! Online.
The band claims that their late guitarist Randy California should be given a writing credit. They are also likely to seek monetary compensation.
The music to the song is credited to Zeppelin's Jimmy Page, who is thought to have written it in 1970, two years after 'Taurus' was released and one year after the band shared stages with Spirit at gigs across the US in 1969.
