Left Front chairman Biman Bose today described the violence of Makra in Birbhum district last month that left three persons dead, as an "attack of animals on human beings".
Bose along with Left delegation visited Makra and Chowmandalpur villages which had been remained out of bounds for political leaders for several days after the October 27 clash between supporters of Trinamool Congress and BJP.
In his speech at a public meeting at Parui bus-stand, Bose accused Trinamool Congress of letting "animals attack human beings" at Makra.
He also sought to alert people about the 'danger' of BJP.
Bose met the father of deceased Tousif Seikh, who was described as a BJP supporter.
The bereaved father described to him what had happened on that day.
The Left delegation did not meet the family of another deceased Mojjamel Seikh who was identified as a TMC worker.
Former CPI(M) MP Ramchandra Dome, who was a member of the delegation, said Mojammel Seikh was an identified offender who had attacked the villagers.
The third person who was killed was not a native of the village.
Rabin Deb (CPIM), Naren Chatterjee (Forward Bloc), Manoj Bhattacharya (RSP), accompanied Bose among others.
Earlier, delegations of the Left, BJP and Congress were not allowed to visit the village as Section 144 was imposed in the area.
