"The liquor seized was being transported illegally in two trucks and one tanker. Six persons were also arrested in three cases yesterday. This is one of the major seizure in one day," SP Bikaner, Santosh Chalke said.
In the first incident, following a tip off, a police party intercepted a truck on Bikaner-Jaisalmer Highway yesterday and recovered 1,084 cartons of liquor bottles. Truck driver Sahab Singh and one Dalveer Singh were arrested in this connection.
In another incident, a police party that checked an oil tanker in a nearby Dungarh area in the district, also recovered liquor cartons. The tanker driver Hanumanaram and cleaner Raghunath have been arrested, Chalke said.
