Lokayukta police begin probe in alleged civic body scam

Lokayukta police has started a probe against officials of Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) and two private firms following a complaint of their involvement in an alleged Rs 3 crore scam.
IMC's Traffic department without inviting tenders bought materials including things used in constructing speed breakers, from two firms in the fiscal 2011-12, a top official of Lokayukta police said today.
Moreover, the civic body made payments to these firms.
Following a complaint, we have started investigations against the concerned people, he said.
As per the media reports, Humanities topper Ruby Rai when
asked by some TV channels about subjects she had opted for pronounced Political Science as "Prodigal Science". To queries as to what was taught in this subject, she answered it was about cooking.

Rai has scored 444 marks out of a total of 500. The reports said she was not even aware of the total marks of all subjects in the board examination which she said was 600 instead of 500.
Likewise, Science topper Saurabh Kumar of the same college while speaking on TV expressed his ignorance about electron and proton.
