Sankalp (38) and his wife Naresh Nandini Anand (34), who were based in Delhi, died on the spot while their daughter suffered serious injuries and has been admitted to a hospital.
In a 10-page hand-written suicide note left behind in his car near the railway tracks, Sankalp, who was a lecturer at a government institute in Delhi, wrote that they were taking the extreme step due to financial problems, police said.
Besides the suicide note, Sankalp's voter-ID and driver's license were found from the car.
Sankalp's father Santosh reached Mathura after he was informed about the couple's death, officials said.
The officials said a probe was on with the police examining the authenticity of the suicide note.
