'Magical Spell' won the C R Bhoopal Memorial Cup

Deshmukh trained-'Magical Spell', ably ridden by jockey I Chisty won the C R Bhoopal Memorial Cup (about) 1200 Metres for Category II horses the main event on the second day of the Hyderabad Monsoon Races held here today.
The season was originally slated to begin from July 18 but the first day's programme was cancelled as the monsoon track was not fit for racing due to delay in the onset of southwest monsoon.
Trainers M Srinivas Reddy and Laxman S scored a treble and double each, while jockeys I Chisty scored quadruple another jockey S S Tanwar scored a double.
Four first favourites obliged in a card of nine events.
