"Ex-servicemen, who have worked in the state (in various jobs) after their retirement from service, will also be entitled for pension from government in addition to their regular pension from Centre," a release issued by the district administration quoted Mungantiwar, also the guardian minister of the district, as saying.
A Government Resolution (GR) to this effect was passed on April 27.
However, the release did not mention the quantum of the pension, date of its implementation and other details like whether it will be retrospective or otherwise.
The Minister said hostels for boys and girls and a rest house will be built through District Soldier Welfare Board in Chandrapur, it said.
The funds would be allocated for the purpose by the District Planning and Development Commission (DPDC), in due course of time.
Mungantiwar also said the government has decided to construct memorials for Param Veer Chakra recipients in the state.
