Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today said his government was committed to the development of Gadchiroli district.
"We are committed to the development of Gadchiroli and our main focus is to provide employment to locals," said Fadnavis after handing over land for the proposed sponge iron plant of Lloyds Metals and Energy Ltd at Konsari village in Ashti tehsil of Gadchiroli.

Fadnavis distributed cheques to various farmers, who gave their lands for this sponge iron plant of Lloyds.
The company announced adoption of Alapalli ITI in Gadchiroli for providing training to the locals, the release added.
Later, Fadnavis visited a village in Chamorshi taluka of Gadchiroli district and inspected work of Malgujari talao. He also interacted with locals in Bamanpeth village in Chamorshi taluka.
The chief minister also interacted with girl students at Bamanwadi village in Chamorshi taluka in Gadchiroli district.
He also reviewed security situation in Gadchiroli with CRPF and state police officials in a meeting.
