Maha MLA's query on pipeline status gets answered after 2 yrs

AIMIM legislator from Aurangabad, Imtiyaz Jalil, today claimed to have received a reply to a question he had raised during an assembly session almost two years back, a development that he termed as "ridiculous".
The MLA said his question about the current status of a pipeline that supplies water to Aurangabad, which he had raised during the winter session of the state legislature in 2015, was finally answered on 21 August (this year) and the response letter was delivered to him today.
The letter was signed by Minister of State for Urban Development Department (UDD) Ranjit Patil, who is believed to be close to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

Talking to PTI, Jalil said, "If a question is raised or information is sought, its reply is generally immediately presented in the House. If the information required is not available, then that MLA is informed about it within a month after the session."
"In this case, when I received the reply from the UDD, it was hard for me to recollect what exactly I had asked during the winter session of the assembly...This is ridiculous," he said.
The journalist-turned-politician said he had raised question under cut-motion no 6.

"I was expecting an immediate answer because the departments concerned were already aware of my query. Still it was not given in the assembly. And I got the reply after so many developments regarding the pipeline-laying company and its litigation. This shows how little the administration cares about the MLAs and their questions, "he said.

"I don't know why this government likes to call itself dynamic when all its actions are proving opposite," said the MLA.
Despite repeated attempts, there was no response from Ranjit Patil.
