Maharashtra score 262/4 on Day 1 against Vidarbha

Swapnil Gugale and Ankit Bawane struck a half century each as Maharashtra made 262 for four in their first innings against Vidarbha at stumps on the opening day of a Group B Ranji Trophy cricket match, here today.
Opening the batting after being sent to bat5, Gugale made 76 off 160 balls with the help of 13 boundaries, while Bawne remained unbeaten on 56 off 172 balls during which he hit six fours.
Rahul Tripathi was the other not out batsman on 38. Skipper Rohit Motwani (38) and Harshad Khadiwale (20) also got starts before getting out.
Faiz Fazal (1/15), Shrikant Wagh (1/49), Swapnil Bandiwar (1/52) and Rakesh Dhruv (1/58) were the wicket takers for Vidarbha.
