Mahindra & Mahindra shares dip nearly 4pc as sales fall in Feb

Shares of auto maker Mahindra & Mahindra today fell by nearly 4 per cent after the company reported 10 per cent decline in total sales in February.
M&M's stock dipped 3.26 per cent to settle at Rs 1,235.85 on the BSE. During the day, it slipped 4.18 per cent to Rs 1,224.05.
At the NSE, it ended 3.74 per cent lower at Rs 1,230.35.
Mahindra & Mahindra had yesterday reported 10 per cent decline in total sales at 38,033 units in February.
It had sold 42,166 units in the same month last year, the company had said in a statement.
In domestic market, M&M's sales declined by 11 per cent to 34,918 units last month as against 39,338 units a year earlier.
However, exports were up 10 per cent at 3,115 units from 2,828 units in the same period a year earlier.
Meanwhile, in the stock market the BSE benchmark Sensex ended at 29,593.73, up 134.59 points.
