Man arrested for trying to leave murdered girl's body in

A young man was arrested for trying leave the body of a murdered teen-aged girl at a government hospital here in Nadia district, police sources said today.
The 25-year-old man Abhijit Pramanick of Kalibele village was caught by the staff of the Krishnagar Sadar Hospital yesterday when he tried to leave behind the body in the emergency department and was handed over to the police, the sources said.
Narayan Pramanick the father of the girl of Kalna Rainbandh alleged that the young man intercepted his daughter when she was going to school yesterday and forcibly took her to a lodge at Mayapur where he allegedly raped and killed her before trying to dump her body at the hospital.

A police officer said "Whether the girl was raped before being murdered will only be known after we get the autopsy report."
On June 11, a 14-year-old girl was raped and killed at Gede in the same district.
