The TV and music mogul's 35 million pounds home in west London was targeted by a thief who struck on December 4 as Cowell slept upstairs with girlfriend Lauren Silverman, reported Daily Mirror.
The burglar made off with jewellery and cash after cracking into one of "The X Factor" judge's safes, it was reported.
A guard who patrolled Cowell's exclusive neighbourhood spotted a suspect and gave chase, later alerting authorities.
Police said a 37-year-old man was arrested in connection with the burglary on Friday, and has been bailed until January.
She was targeted on November 28, just a week before Cowell's property was burgled. Cash, jewellery and electrical items were stolen from Ora's home as one of her family members slept upstairs.
