Additional district judge, Phulbani, Rajendra Kumar Tosh sentenced Babindra Dehuri, an unemployed youth, after convicting him in the rape and murder case.
He would undergo rigorous imprisonment of two more months in case of failure to pay the fine.
Dehuri, who was heavily drunk while committing the crime, had entered the girl's house at Padarsahi in the midnight of March 28, 2013 and raped her in the presence of her parents.
Dehuri was arrested by the police after an FIR was lodged by the girl's mother Sabita Podho.
