Man booked for killing wife

A man from Damni village here was booked for allegedly killing his wife over a petty quarrel, police said today.
38-year-old Chitaman Baraf had an altercation with his wife Bhimi (32) yesterday afternoon over a paltry issue and attacked his wife with an axe in a fit of rage, killing her on the spot, a district police official said.
The body was sent to a government hospital for postmortem, while a case has been lodged against the accused under section 302 (murder) of the IPC.
