The Marketing Intelligence Team of Central Crime Station (CCS), a wing of Hyderabad Police, apprehended Md Gazani at Santosh Nagar and found that he collected huge amounts in the range of Rs 1 lakh to Rs 1.50 lakh from each of the victims.
The accused cheated youths in the name of providing them clerical jobs in the high court and city civil courts and other government departments, a release from Hyderabad Police stated.
"After collecting the money he used to evade their (victims') calls and also shifted his residence. Four of the victims have approached police so far and inquiry is underway to know the details of other victims whose original certificates are recovered from the offender," as per the release.
