Man commits suicide by jumping into the Yamuna in UP

A 36-year-old man has committed suicide by jumping into the Yamuna river near the Tindwari area here, police said today.
The incident took place last evening when Dinesh Singh, a resident of Dadarnagar in Kanpur, stopped his car on a bridge in the area, disembarked and jumped into the river, officials said.
Singh was on his way to Kanpur with his sister-in-law at the time of the incident.
The police said they are trying to ascertain the motive behind the suicide, adding that the body has been sent for postmortem.
