Sanjay was arrested from Raghubir Nagar on Saturday for selling fireworks without proper licence, they said, adding that 234 kg of crackers were recovered from his possession.
"The accused was selling illegal crackers and fireworks without taking any safety measures and had also stored illegal fireworks in his godown which could have endangered the lives and safety of the residents," said police.
A case under sections of the Explosive Act and IPC has been registered against him, they said.
