Acting on a specific information, police intercepted one Mohammad Shafi, carrying a carton, at Shaan Palace in Ramban district yesterday, they said.
During checking of the carton, police recovered 38 pouches of illicit liquor and arrested the accused on the spot, police said.
A case under various sections of the Excise Act has been registered against him at Ramban Police Station, they said.
