Man poisoned to death, three other family members taken ill

An old man died and his three other family members taken ill after a tantrik offered them milk laced with some poisonous substance at their house in a village under Patana police outpost area in Bihar's Madhubani district today, a police officer said.
The incident took place in Pisi village as a trantrik staying at Md. Naeem's house offered milk laced with poisonous substance to the family members as a result of which Naeem (65) died, while his wife Jhabbu Khatun (60), daughter Nemak Tabin (14) and son Raja (12) were taken ill, Patana police outpost in-charge Umesh Paswan said.

The body has been sent for post-mortem and the ailing family members rushed to Darbhanga Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) for treatment, he said.
A probe was on in the matter and raids were being carried out to nab the tantrik, Paswan said.
