Revenue, Law and Legislative Affairs and Forest and Environment Minister Th Debendro Singh has been selected as the chairman of the panel that has four other members.
The committee, which may co-opt representatives of JCILPS as members, will submit the draft bill at the earliest so that state government may introduce it in the Assembly within a month, the release said.
In another resolution, the state cabinet has decided to institute a judicial inquiry into the death of class XI student, Sapam Robinhood Singh, who died after being hit on the face by a tear gas shell used by the police to disperse JCILPS protesters earlier this month.
